Publication Year:
Chris Call of Utah State meets with Rick Danvir the wildlife biologist for the Deseret ranch. This massive 200,000 private ranch manages not only 10,000 cows, but at least as many wild herbivores and a multitude of other species. How do they keep this much wild land intact, healthy, and still turn a profit? The key is diversity not only in the ecology of the ranch but also the economy.
